Over the last two years we've built a wonderful partnership with Ron Totorella of All Set Home Management. In the midst of planning a move to the West Coast, we reached out to All Set to explore the possibility of renting out our beautiful oasis in the Catskill Mountains. Ron walked us through the process of how to set up the owners' closet, what to remove / add to the house and what to expect when guests stay, etc. Once we flipped the switch and began to book guests, we relied on him and his team to manage our property while we were 3,000 miles away--to say that we trusted him is an understatement. He was the lifeline to our property. He protected it, maintained it and genuinely cared for it. Over the last 24 months we've had numerous phone calls, emails and text exchanges about a myriad of issues including but limited to: propane stoves not working, a guest-induced hole in the wall (and how to secure damages), snow plowing, power outages (and communicating with our guests about the situation), downed cable lines, broken freezer, cleaning out of rain gutters, etc. And, miraculously, when we would come back for a visit and stay at our retreat, it always seemed as though we'd never been gone. The cabin was immaculate. Isn't that what an owner is looking for? We are so blessed to have met and worked with Ron and his team. We are sad to end our partnership as we've decided to sell our retreat and find something closer to where we live. I own rental properties in Catskill NY. One of my homes needed to be cleaned because the previous tenants moved out and the home needed to be made ready to show. I went to the house with the intention to do the cleaning and sprucing up myself. The previous tenants were heavy smokers. The house reeked of smoke, the odor was in all the carpets, sofa, chairs and mattresses.

I tried everything I knew to clean the house to eliminate the oder. Nothing worked. I was panicking thinking I had to go out and replace all the carpeting and mattresses. They came to the house the next day and assured me that they could eliminate the order in the house and I didn't need to replace the carpets and mattresses.
